Alicia’s approach centers on efficiency, respect, and the even-handed, accurate application of the law—ensuring that every attorney and defendant is treated with dignity and heard without delay.

Alicia Perez has dedicated nearly two decades to ensuring that every person has meaningful access to justice. In 2007 she graduated from CUNY School of Law and was licensed in Texas. She began her career at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, representing victims of domestic violence in protective orders and child custody disputes, even using the Hague Convention for International Child Abuse to recoved children from abroad. In 2011, Alicia took and passed the New York Bar to serve as an attorney with the HIV Law Project in New York City, advocating for housing rights, HIV confidentiality, and immigration protection for this vulnerable population.

In 2013, Alicia opened her own law practice back in Texas focusing on family-based immigration, removal defense, and criminal defense. Her recent experience as both a prosecutor with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office and a public defender with the Bexar County Public Defender’s Office deepened her understanding of the complex needs of our local courts and the importance of providing both sides the fair, balanced forum they require.

As a certified professional coach and bilingual advocate, Alicia brings the temperament and communication skills essential to fostering trust and civility in the courtroom.
