Courts are where the rule of law becomes real for people. When the process works, justice is not abstract — it is experienced as fairness, clarity, and respect. When it does not, trust in the system erodes.

When victims are not heard or understood, the justice system does not function as it should. When due process is not consistently provided, confidence in the courts weakens. And when cases linger because hearings are delayed or procedures are unclear, justice is diminished for everyone involved.

I have practiced law across multiple parts of the legal system — as a prosecutor, a defense attorney, and in high-stakes civil and public-interest cases. That experience has taught me how judicial decisions ripple outward: affecting victims, defendants, families, attorneys, and the credibility of the courts themselves. It has also taught me that efficiency and fairness are not competing values. Clear procedures, timely hearings, and calm courtroom management are essential to both.
